Uploading versus converting on your device
Most online converters upload your file to their servers, convert it there and keep it for a while. For a bank statement or a salary slip, that means your financial details sit on someone else's computer.
This converter works differently. The program is downloaded into your browser and the conversion runs on your own device. Your PDF is never sent to us or to anyone else. You can check this yourself in the developer tools of your browser (Network tab): no request carries your file.
Good habits for any converter
- Prefer tools that say clearly where your file goes.
- Do not upload documents you are not allowed to share.
- Check the converted numbers before using them, especially from scans.
